Holy Redeemer Hospital is one of only 17 hospitals in Pennsylvania that have received this distinguished recognition, which The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) awards to top-performing hospitals that have demonstrated low rates of health-care associated infections. Holy Redeemer Hospital is graded an A for safety by the Leapfrog Group, a national independent watchdog organization. Every six months the Leapfrog Group grades all general hospitals across the country on an A to F scale, with A recognized as the highest mark of distinction in preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents, infections, and other harms to patients. Read more.

The award recognizes Holy Redeemer’s commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence. Holy Redeemer Hospital is a recipient of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s, Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll award, a distinction that signified stringent compliance with a series of quality measures. Read more.

Awarded to the Redeemer Health Life Care communities St. Joseph Manor and Lafayette, this distinction was earned for both long-term care and short-stay rehab. US News reviewed more than 15,000 facilities across the US and recognized only those as a “Best Nursing Home” with a score of “High Performing” in a wide variety of quality measures drawn via scientific literature review, discussions with industry experts, and statistical modeling.

St. Joseph Manor, a Redeemer Health Life Care community, is one of only 26 facilities in Pennsylvania that earned Newsweek's "Best Nursing Home" rating. The rating is based on performance data drawn from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), peer recommendations derived from more than 10,000 medical experts, and metrics around the handling of COVID-19 also drawn from CMS data, as well as other official sources.

A facility can only earn accreditation after demonstrating to a group of distinguished peers in medicine and health care administration that it provides a scope of care, level of quality, and commitment to safety that meets the stringent standards of the UCA.
